Meringue V’s Cupcake

I would sooner have a cupcake rather than a meringue

A cupcake is spongy and has the cherry mounted firm on top

A meringue is so boring well over rated in taste

Meringues just sit there not giving an inch

When you look at cupcakes they are inviting and come in all sorts of colours

Cupcakes have bounce and personality

A meringue is just stiff with no personality

I love my cupcakes, but they don’t love me

When cupcakes rebel they leave you sad and angry

 If I could tell my one remaining cupcake just one thing

I would request it does not go stale and minging

I don’t want it to dry up and lose its cherry

Or have its edges be nibbled away

So I am left with a meringue and a cupcake

I don’t like my meringue, but one day it will become a cupcake instead

So the meringue versus cupcake debate is open for vote

Yes cupcake wins hands down that I note
